Before you begin

Before you begin

You need a Pro project. External texture URLs and unsupported compressed extensions are rejected.

01

01

Export a GLB

Export a GLB 2.0 file with visible geometry and embedded textures and geometry.

02

02

Stay within limits

Keep the file under 50 MB and avoid required Draco, Meshopt or KTX compression.

03

03

Upload as background

Upload it as a background and wait for the model to load.

04

04

Place on a surface

Choose an existing point under Add points and click a visible model surface.

05

05

Adjust and publish

Drag an existing marker onto another surface if it needs moving, then review and publish.

Expected Results

Markers are stored at positions on the model and share the project’s point data and popups.

Tips and Limits

External texture URLs and unsupported compressed extensions are rejected. Google Map satellite imagery is a different background type. GLB supports point placement, not editable surface polygons. Optimise large models and baked textures for the intended device.

Effect on Public Viewer

Publish the model background and placements to update the public viewer.
