Decide what happens when a visitor interacts with a point or shape. Visitors get the selected action from the published record's placement.
You need editor access to the project. Hover cards are compact and use eased appearance and disappearance.
Open On click
Find the record in Points and open On click.
Choose the action
Choose Show Popup, Hover Popup, Open background or None. Hover Popup shows a compact name and description card; None disables the record action.
Set destination background
For Open background, choose the Destination background.
Review popup content
For a popup, review the record's details, images and buttons.
Preview and test
Preview the behaviour and test any destination before sharing.
Expected Results
Visitors get the selected action from the published record’s placement.
Tips and Limits
Hover cards are compact and use eased appearance and disappearance. A hover-only experience should be checked on touch devices before launch. Popup buttons require Show Popup. Multiple destination backgrounds need Pro. After deleting a background, update links pointing to it.
Effect on Public Viewer
These are record-value changes and can affect existing published placements immediately. New destination layouts must be published.
