Keep a portable project-content backup and restore it as a separate draft. A separate private project is created with remapped record and asset identities.
You need project capacity and enough account storage to restore. The backup includes layouts, points, houses, branding, images, custom icons and GLB assets, including relevant archived content.
Export JSON backup
Choose Import / export then Export JSON backup and retain the downloaded .json file.
Choose the backup to restore
To restore, choose Choose file to import and select that backup.
Name the restored project
Review the content summary and enter a name for the restored project.
Restore as new project
Choose Restore as new project and wait for all assets to upload.
Inspect then publish
Open and inspect the restored draft, then publish only when ready.
Expected Results
A separate private project is created with remapped record and asset identities. The original project remains unchanged.
Tips and Limits
The backup includes layouts, points, houses, branding, images, custom icons and GLB assets, including relevant archived content. It excludes enquiries, analytics, subscription credentials and paid entitlement. The restored project does not automatically go live. Backups support up to 150 MB of assets; the current account allowance still applies to restoration. Verify and reconnect external data sources where needed. A full system backup is a separate administrator procedure that includes application enquiries and analytics; see HC065.
Effect on Public Viewer
Restoration creates a new draft. Publish to create its public viewer.
