Use an uploaded site plan, aerial or floorplan as the surface for points and polygons. The image is an editable background in the draft.
Works on Basic or Pro. Basic supports one image background.
Open Backgrounds
Open Map and choose Backgrounds, or use the first-background upload control.
Choose an image
Choose a JPG, PNG or WebP image under 15 MB.
Name the background
After upload, use the background pencil to give it a useful name if needed.
Select the background
Wait for upload and saving to finish, then select the background.
Start placing points
Open Add points to begin placing existing records.
Expected Results
The image is an editable background in the draft. It can be used with points or polygons.
Tips and Limits
Basic supports one image background. Multiple backgrounds need Pro. PDF plans must be converted to an image before upload. All uploads share the account storage allowance.
Effect on Public Viewer
Publish changes to add the background to the public viewer.
